Below are two short video-promos for 'THE ILLUSION OF FASHION' and a 4 minute live show introduction and that's called 'METAMORPHISIS' and it's where a female turns into me, J.D. WATKINS. What kind of a car do you drive? What part of the city do you live in? How much money do you make in a year? Do you wear only name-brand clothing?.......does it all matter?......We are faced with these questions almost everyday. Wouldn't it be more HUMANE if we were asked these questions instead; what is your thought process? how do you come up with those ideas? what are your hopes, your dreams? what do you aspire to be? Don't you think those are better questions to ask?
Our society has created gods and idol worship out of materialism and in turn has become nothing but a bunch of consumers. When you are controlled by people with money or/and power then you have no self-worth and guess what? You will die in OBSCURITY!!. This show; THE ILLUSION OF FASHION takes an educational and entertaining look at this. It is part fashion show and part illusion show. It will be held on September 28th(Tuesday) at the SpringHill Suites Miami Arts/Health District 1311 N.W. 10th Avenue, Miami, Florida . There are 2 showtimes; 5pm & 7pm. All seats are $24 (all ticket and receipt holders will receive a copy of an illusion-video and that detail is below). For now........just enjoy your materialistic items...because when you die you can't take it with you.....coming soon......THE ILLUSION OF FASHION....'Feel the magic, experience the power!!! This show has been performed 3 times in Upstate New York; 1996, 1998 & 2002. MISS PLAYBOY NOVEMBER 2005's; Raquel Gibson (photo below) will be assisting with the next show that will be held on September 28, 2010(Tuesday) in Miami, Florida...check her out at; www.raquelgibson.com. Above are the two official video-promos and after the promos is the live 4 minute opening of the show called 'METAMORPHISIS' and it's where a woman turns into me (J.D. Watkins). The beginning music is from my 'boy' WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART' and after that the song 'RED RAIN' by Peter Gabriel begins the illusion. As an added treat, any ticket holders to this show will receive a free copy of the illusion-video 'THE DISAPPEARANCE OF NEW YORK'.
